Dubai Cucumber Day’s aim is to transform the humble green fruit into exchangeable monetary units. Spearheaded by a British drinks brand, the one-day event is designed to help customers “recognise the true value of the cucumber by transforming the humble green fruit into exchangeable monetary units”.
You’ll be able to buy a drink in 35 bars and restaurants in Dubai by simply handing over a cucumber to a member of the staff. The offer extends to selected outlets in the city. It’s one cucumber per person, so there’s no need to fill your handbag (unless you’re planning on a bar crawl).
