There are various hotels and apartment houses on Yas, some of which really deserve the title of local landmark. For example, the iconic Yas Viceroy, known for its unique location, deserves a special word. So half of the building hangs over the sea, and the other half is on land, while the hotel is cut by the very famous Formula track. Thousands of LED light bulbs decorate the exterior of this curved building for an extraordinary effect in the dark.
It is curious that there is only one beach on Yas – Yas Beach. You can visit this rather wide coastline for free if you are a guest of island hotels. The cleanest sand, calm water, a gentle entrance – the place is perfect for both single travelers and those who are vacationing on the island with their families and little kids.
Although Yas has no major cultural treasures and historical sites, it is home to the stunning Du Arena and Ferrari World, a theme park dedicated entirely to the Italian automaker. Visit one of twenty rides, some of which are quite harmless, such as a virtual tour of the Ferrari factory. Children will be delighted with the carousel, consisting of the same miniature cars. Sophisticated extreme lovers will appreciate the Fiorano GT Challenge catapult roller coaster and the infernal Formula Rossa pneumatic hill, in which you will reach a speed of 250 km/h in just five minutes. You can relax after such a shake-up in boutiques and Italian restaurants located right in the park.
