The Al Majaz Amphitheatre was opened under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to commemorate the crowning of Sharjah as the Islamic Cultural Capital of the Arab world in 2014.
Since then, it has held performing arts such as plays, concerts and community events, conferences, and workshops. The venue is fully equipped with the latest technologies to showcase high-standard performances. Along with the amphitheater, the venue provides different facilities such as VIP Majlis; Conference Room; Helipad; Al Majaz Marina; The Island Walk; and Funoon District.
