Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival (RAKFAF) is an arts festival designed to showcase the work of local and emerging artists, photographers, and filmmakers.

The Ras Al Khaimah Fine Arts Festival (RAKFAF) is delighted to announce that it returns next month for its 9th edition, helping launch the UAE’s 2021 art calendar. The annual arts festival, which was established under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, UAE Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, will open to the public on Saturday, 6 February and run until Saturday, 3 April 2021.

All sports lovers are welcome for the Ras Al Khaimah Trail Run, which will include several distances - 5km or 10km and even a half-marathon - 21.1km. The route will offer runners a challenging experience with inclines and declines (10k and 21k only), rocky panoramic plateaus scattered with trees and bush shrubbery.

The trek promises to take you some flat and some bouldering sections and a few climb up a rocky ridge trail which will lead to a sunset view that can impress the eyes and hearts. The village is just 1.5 hours from Dubai at the foothills of Jabal Jais making it an ideal spot to view sunrises and sunsets. 

Geminids Meteor Shower promises to be a spectacular event that offers the possibility of sighting around 120 to 150 meteors per hour at its peak.  This is a noteworthy event for lovers of celestial objects and everything that is related to it. The shower gets its name from the constellation Gemini because the meteors seem to emerge from this constellation in the sky.

Shamal village is located in the foothills of Jabal Jais. Exploring a newly scouted route can be a great option to see sunrise or sunset from mountains. The trip will include flat and bouldering sections as well as a rocky ridge trail, which means that plain sneakers or trainers are strongly not recommended.

The Sailing Academy by Al Hamra Sailing Club presents free masterclass for sailing fans, who would like to become proficient sailors. The attendees will get information on sailing and practical experience to understand whether this sports activity suitable for interaction or professional path.
