The Sailing Academy by Al Hamra Sailing Club presents free masterclass for sailing fans, who would like to become proficient sailors. The attendees will get information on sailing and practical experience to understand whether this sports activity suitable for interaction or professional path.
There will be 2 sessions of roughly 1 hour each:
– Session 1 is about sailing principles, equipment, and orientation around a Bahia sailboat. They’ll be time for a 10-15 minute taster on the vessel;
– Session 2 sailing with two other students and the instructor.
Buoyancy aids are worn at all times (provided by the Academy). While knowing how to swim is not required students should be comfortable in the water. Attendees don’t need a clubhouse or sailing academy membership.
Masterclass is available for booking from 9 to 65 y.o. Attendees of 9 to 12-year-olds need a guardian present, over 12 y.o. to 18 need parental consent. Sessions are booked by age categories:
• 9-13;
• 14-17;
• 18 and over.
*Participants must wear face masks at all times.
