Dubai Asset Management, the owner and manager of one of the city’s largest portfolios of residential communities, has concluded its second edition of the DubaiAM Shopping Spree. The nail-biting challenge saw five residents randomly selected from its diverse communities race against time to grab as many groceries at Al Khawaneej Walk’s Geant Hypermarket for free.
With just 90-seconds on the clock, the participants sprinted through the supermarket’s aisles, loading their shopping cart with as much shopping, household goods and personal care products as possible. The participants were randomly selected after a social media competition by Dubai Asset Management, where residents were asked to share what they most loved about their community.
They included Simone Knight from luxury creek-front development Dubai Wharf, who posted about their love for early morning jogs along Al Jaddaf. Also scoring coveted spots in the DubaiAM Shopping Spree were Ian Kenneth Devora of the vibrant residential community Al Khail Gate in Al Quoz; Jaymi Almonte from Mirdif’s family-friendly neighbourhood Shorooq; Katrina Merilleno who lives in suburban community, Ghoroob; and Nazir Naqqash from Mediterranean-inspired villa and apartment complex Layan.
DubaiAM Shopping Spree was launched this past July as part of Dubai Asset Management’s commitment to enhancing the living experiences of residents and enhancing Dubai’s position as one of the world’s happiest cities.
Dubai Asset Management, a member of Dubai Holding Asset Management, strives to provide the best possible living experience and launched its Random Acts of Kindness initiative #Neighbourgood in 2019 to surprise and delight residents. This has offered people amazing experiences from helicopter rides, skydiving and Hummer desert safaris to VIP concert tickets at the Coca-Cola Arena, as well as special giveaways on occasions such as Mother’s Day and Father’s Day.
