Being the newest extension of Dubai Marina, Dubai Harbour is located between Jumeirah Beach Residence and Palm Jumeirah.
The total area of the project will be more than 1,8 million square meters. It will absorb Skydive Dubai, Logo Island, and Dubai International Marine Club. The central point of the project, which will be located at the entrance to the harbor, will be Dubai Lighthouse, a skyscraper 135 meters high, in which a magnificent hotel will be located. A smooth surface of the Dubai Lighthouse will allow holding stunning light shows here. Also, there will be an observation deck with an astonishing view of Dubai’s waterways and cityscape. The Dubai Lighthouse will become one of the iconic landmarks of the city in the future, this magnificent structure makes an impression already at the stage of the project.
It is planned to build a cruise ship port and cruise terminal in Dubai Harbour with an area of about 14 thousand square meters, capable of accommodating 6000 passengers daily, a yacht club, a 1400-berth marina for yacht, including a large one, 85 meters long (it is assumed that this will be the biggest marina in the MENA region), an events arena, a huge Dubai Harbour Mall, an area of which will be more than 300 thousand square meters, hotels, residences (including seaside villas), restaurants, entertainment centers and much more. A construction project is conducted by Meraas Holding, the construction works of the project will take four years.
The problem of water transportation has been uniquely solved by the creators of the project. Water stations will be located at key points, in some hotels, as well as under the shopping mall. A new transport network will also be built, besides the waterway to Dubai Harbour, there will be new land routes, and there will also be an airway, three helipads will be built here. A bridge will be constructed connecting Dubai Harbour with Sheikh Zayed Road, a pedestrian bridge that allows you to get here from Palm Jumeirah, as well as a monorail road that will allow you to navigate between the key points of Dubai Harbour. The streets in Dubai Harbour will be unusual, they will be shaped in the form of a racing track. Thus, in the future professional races will be held here.
Presenting the project, Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid, the Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, noted that it will have a positive impact on the tourism sector, attract investment in the region, create additional jobs, and increase the prestige of Dubai as a luxury resort full of beautiful locations, and will contribute to the future of the country.
