Founded in 1981 as a center of art and learning, it is located in the middle of downtown Abu Dhabi, right off Khalifa Street and next to the White Fort, also known as Qasr al-Hosn Palace.
The Foundation hosts a wide range of events, including art exhibitions, lectures, concerts and movies, theatrical performances, art workshop classes, and lectures occurring regularly.
Operated under the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage, Cultural Foundation is one of Abu Dhabi’s most prominent cultural landmarks and an important example of the country’s modern heritage.
Housed in a beautiful contemporary Islamic-style building, the Cultural Foundation encompasses the National Archives, the Institute of Culture and Art, and the National Library.
