There is no shortage of tourist attractions in Dubai. Among the big malls and tallest towers, there are natural attractions that will wow a man. The Love Lake is one of them.

Since its inauguration in 2018, The Love Lake has become a famous tourist attraction in Dubai. As the name suggests, this place is ideal if you ever need a romantic getaway from the busy city life with your loved one.

The Love Lake is located in the middle of Al Qudra, also known as Al Marmoom desert, and consists of two large heart-shaped lakes that are over an area of 550,000 square meters surrounded by trees, flowers, and sand and intertwine each other. The enormous lakes gained their popularity after the Crown Prince posted them on his social media. An interesting fact about these lakes is that they are so vast that when seen from the sky you can not only see the two hearts-shaped lakes interlocked together but also the word love spelled out by trees on the side.

The Love Lake is a famous spot to hang out. In fact here are some of the things you can do there.

Apart from just strolling along, you can even barbeque or have a picnic at this site (in the allocated barbeque pits). This makes for a great weekend trip with your family, friends, or loved ones. Crack open a cold one and enjoy the serene views of the lakes with some delicious barbeque.

If camping is not your forte, the love lakes make a great picturesque location to go exercise. Go for a jog, cycle or walk along the lakes during the sunset or call your friends to have a yoga session out on the sand under the trees.

Explore nature at love lake. With opportunities to dip your feet into the lake (where it’s permitted) or even watch the fishes swim. One portion of the lake is filled with Koi fishes. Do not be alarmed by their big mouths, but they are very safe. However, feeding and touching the fishes and other wildlife is strictly prohibited. It is advised to keep at a safe distance from the edge of the footpath that leads to the lake.

This place screams love. Everything around the love lakes is either shaped in the form of hearts or is made to get you in the spirit of l-o-v-e.

As of now, there are no shops or restaurants in the vicinity but the nearest pit stop is about 20 to 30 minutes away. So if you are planning to spend the day at the lake, make sure you take all your favorite foods and snacks to keep your bellies and hearts full.

A few things to keep in mind when at the location, there are few bathrooms within the vicinity. Make sure you keep your surroundings clean and dispose of any waste or unwanted things into the allotted waste bins. Bring your own lights if you are planning to stay the night as there are only limited spots with lamps. Also, get jackets or warm clothes as it can get colder during the night.
