The National Theatre is the biggest auditorium in the region, used primarily for theatre plays, screening movies, conferences, and exhibitions. Inaugurated back in 1981, the Abu Dhabi National Theatre is a large integrated complex equipped with world-class lighting, sound, and film projection facilities.
The National Theatre also houses a lecture and conference hall that can accommodate up to 150 people and an art gallery. The complex has two exhibition halls that display permanent collections of paintings, sculptures, and other forms of art created by Emirati artists.
