It is supposed that you reside in Dubai and have no siblings who can look after your mother here. In order to sponsor a Parents Visa UAE, a person must make at least 20 000 AED per year and live in at least a 2-bedroom apartment. A death certificate that has been properly notarized and legalized in the parent’s home country must also be submitted if one parent passes away. After that, it needs to be legally translated into Arabic and attested by the UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation (“MOFA”).

Process

Along with the aforementioned requirement, one must also obtain a dependency certificate from their consulate or embassy. That is duly attested and certified. So, they will care for their parent in the United Arab Emirates. The aforementioned document needs to translate into Arabic and attest by MOFA.

However, since your mother lives alone in your country of origin and your salary is less than Dh20000, you may pertain to the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs – Dubai (the “GDRFA- Dubai”) to sponsor her based on humanitarianism. You might need to present the required paperwork and proof proving that your mom is a dependent and you are the only breadwinner in the family.

Based on this, you must submit the aforementioned paperwork in addition to your mother’s passport copy, your UAE resident ID, your passport, copies of your residence visa, your salary certificate, your employment contract, your Ejari registration certificate, your utility bill, and the most recent three months’ worth of bank statements. The GDRFA-Dubai may then give your application favorable consideration.

You can apply for a long-term visit visa if you are unable to get your Parents Visa in Dubai, so she can live in the UAE. Alternatively, if your mother prefers, she can apply for an investor visa.

These visas are valid for one year from the date of the spouse’s death or divorce. However, if you plan to stay in the UAE for more than one year, you will need to find a new sponsor.

First, you need to prove your widowhood or divorce. Then, you can prove that you can support yourself and your children financially. You also need to have UAE IDs and medical insurance cards. In addition, you must have children over 18 years of age. In some emirates, health insurance is mandatory for divorced women.

The UAE government has implemented a new rule that will make it easier for widows and divorced mothers to get permanent residency in the country. Among other things, UAE will grant a one-year extension to residency visas for these women after the death of their husbands. Children who are on their father’s visa are also eligible for an extension for the child visa renewal in Dubai.

There are several requirements that you should fulfill to obtain a residency extension in the UAE. These prerequisites fluctuate contingent on the kind of case. For example, a widow or divorced mother must show that she can financially support herself, show that she has no other family or children back home, and have a medical examination certificate proving she is not unfit to work. If the woman is not working in the UAE, she must have a health insurance policy for her children.
