This event promises to be a star-studded affair for golf lovers everywhere as world-class players will be taking part in this competition in a spectacular setting. Omega Desert Classic is also known as the  ‘Major of the Middle East’ and has been graced by golfing giants like Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Seve Ballesteros and Ernie Els.

This is a series of races of various distances which allows participants to take part in how many ever race they want. There are four relays that competitors can choose from i.e. 200m, 400m, 800m, 1.6km and 3.2km. There is usually a relay course but it will not take place due to social distancing restrictions.

The course will be on closed roads and a designated running track that ensures a safe and fun race and will also follow the calm waters in the lagoon. Beginners to advanced participants of all ages and abilities are invited to bike, swim and race in this event. All the races have relay counterparts that allow teams of 2-3 participants to compete. The Junior super sprint is for children between the ages of 5 years and 12 years.

Four of the world's top 10 players are on the entry list for the first WTA tournament of the 2021 season. They announced a schedule for the first seven weeks of the 2021 Tour calendar while keeping in mind the increased travel restrictions and mandatory quarantine guidelines set the governments. 

This race will have three courses of distances 2.5km, 5km and 10km which follows the waters of the Arabian Gulf, lined with hundreds of palm trees. It will take place on a dedicated run track and traffic-free roads of Al Marjan Island. The course is easy and appropriate for beginners, advanced runners and families.

Participants can choose from four different courses as offered by the event. It will take the contestants of the half marathon (21.1km) and 10km course through palm treed villages, up to the beautiful blue waters of the reservoir and dam with the majestic Hajar mountains in the distance, as well as challenge them with few hills to increase the heart rate.

The event promises to provide a classic New Year spread with all the trimmings. There will be an unlimited buffet with multiple live food stations and refreshing brews on offer leaving its guests spoilt for choice for 4 hours with a complimentary sparkling toast at midnight. To put the patrons into the party mood there will be 60's and 90's music being played along with performances by Brad, Nailyn and DJ Tarryn. This event will take place in Cafe 28 of the Abu Dhabi Golf Club. It is an international all-day dining restaurant and is ideal for a quick bite, leisurely meal or a round of drinks with friends.

The songs he will be performing include "Mafi Mennik", "Wein Ma Tkooni" and the recently launched "Mawali". Aziz Maraka is no stranger to the UAE stage as he made his debut in Abu Dhabi, followed by equally successful performances in Sharjah and Dubai.
