The word Mimi Kakushi comes from western hairstyles in the yo-Hatsu theme. The name literally means “covering ears.” When jazz first arrived in Osaka in the 1920s, it brought with its modern art and western fashions. As a result – a clash of cultures challenges traditional traditions, igniting a new golden age. The menu consists of Japanese classics such as sharing plates of sashimi, sushi, tempura, or gyoza, oven-baked black cod, Kagoshima wagyu beef and more.
