Ibn Battuta Mall was named after Ibn Battuta, a Muslim Berber Moroccan scholar and explorer who widely traveled the medieval world. There are 275 retailers presented across six courts, each reflecting the different regions through which Ibn Battuta traveled – Andalusia, Tunisia, Egypt, Persia, India, and China, expressed in their interior design and spirit.
Ibn Battuta Mall features shopping, dining, and entertainment with history, culture, and the story of themed decor, which is a must-see attraction besides all other offers. It’s shopping and entertainment with more than 50 dining options, 21 cinema screens, including an IMAX theatre (by the way, check which movies are coming soon in UAE). It is directly connected with Dubai Metro, and conveniently located just 10 minutes driving from Dubai Marina, next to the cozy Discovery Gardens community.
The mall is balancing on its historical themes with hundreds of modern shops, as guests can take Starbucks coffee in the Persian court and head to the Chinese court for cinema screening. Ibn Batutta also hosts a number of luxury hotels within its complex: Oaks Ibn Battuta Gate, Premier Inn, and Avani Ibn Battuta.
