When it comes to reliving the rich Arabian heritage and culture, Fujairah has an abundance of historic sites and attractions which provide a unique glimpse into the lifestyle in the region. The Fujairah Heritage Village is one such open-air museum where visitors can explore old Arabic traditions and experience the lifestyle of nomadic settlers.
The houses feature traditional architecture and materials. Some of the huts are made with bricks and mud while others are made with twigs and date leaves, showcasing the simplicity of a rural lifestyle.
The village also has several rooms, which represent different day-to-day activities practiced by the locals. For instance, there are traditional rural grocery shops, barbershops, and more. Visitors can also have a look at the cooking utensils and farming tools that were used by Arab villagers centuries ago.
Fujairah Heritage Village also has beautiful handicraft items made by local women. These handicrafts are displayed on the walls of small guestrooms in the village houses.
