The Theatre will provide the standup performance “Imah`s Day Off”, where the GCC’s first Filipina stand-up comedian, Imah Dumagay, will now perform a full-length show hosted by Liz Bains. As an expat, she will dispel or maybe even confirm some of the stereotypes about Filipinos and the challenges of being a stand up comic.
Imah’s Day off is a solo show of Imah who has done more than 200 gigs across the UAE. During this hilarious night of comedy, Imah will reveal some personal details on her path of becoming a comedian and will share insights into her cross-cultural marriages. Imah delivers her humor with infectious energy and belly-aching jokes capturing the audience with sincerity.
