It will be the most professionally organized, most ambitious and fastest growing book fair in the MENA region. It is a major initiative of KITAB, a joint venture between the Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage and the Frankfurt Book Fair. KITAB’s aim is to develop the book and publishing industry and promote reading in Abu Dhabi and the neighboring Arab Emirates. The event is held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
The programme of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair has four pillars: Cultural, Professional, Education and, for the first time, Special Events. In total, the Fair will present over 80 fun and informative sessions, with more than 25 in the Cultural programme, 14 in the Education programme, 13 in the Professional programme, as well as six Special Events and a host of other surprises.
