Belcanto, the jewel in the crown of the iconic Dubai Opera is coming to the UAE in 2022

Offering guests classical Italian cuisine with a contemporary edge, Belcanto is set to become Dubai’s latest elegant dining concept.

Delicately nestled within Dubai Opera, Belcanto, is an experiential dining concept, taking guests on a journey through classic yet modern Italian cuisine. Merging the artistry of stunning interiors and the sophistication of Italian food to offer guests an elevated dining experience in a seductively elegant atmosphere, the restaurant will open its doors to the public in early 2022.

The breathtaking venue has been designed by the acclaimed Paul Bishop. Inspired by quintessential Italian styling and aesthetics, Paul Bishop has incorporated elements that build on Belcanto’s unique dining and European flair. Guests will feel welcomed and hosted in a refined manner, wrapped in contemporary details and new design methods.

Serving superlative classical Italian cuisine with a contemporary twist, curated by a team of award-winning chefs, Belcanto is envisaged as a place where guests can discover the exceptional beauty of sensual experience orchestrated through each of the five senses. Belcanto is a unique concept brought to the UAE by Restart 354, the regional expansion of the Vasilchuk Brothers’ Restart, one of Europe’s largest restaurant groups. Diners are invited to embrace a menu orchestrated by Brand Chef Giacomo Lombardi, who brings a unique combination of tradition and innovation to his role, with dishes representing ultra-modern and classic Italian flavors. Born in Tuscany and gaining his wide experience in Paris, Germany, Switzerland, Monaco and South Korea, Chef Giacomo Lombardi is renowned for popularizing Italian cuisine and elevating the experiences of guests at the most popular F&B venues.

A world champion of Neapolitan Pizza, Chef Vincenzo Palermo will offer guests a culinary journey to the heart of Italy with his great passion for work and expertise in making authentic Italian pizza. Having grown up in a family of pizza makers from Gravina in Puglia, south of Italy, Chef Vincenzo has been passionate about cooking since the young age of 14, which will certainly show in his dishes at Belcanto.

Pastry Chef, Anthony Falcone brings his expertise from a variety of Michelin star restaurants, promising to bring a diverse selection of world-class pastries to the guests’ table.

Award-winning Chef Bartender from 50 best bars for five consecutive years, Mikhail Melnik will bring his considerable experience to the bar at Belcanto. His passion and perseverance have helped him achieve several accolades, including being named as one of the Top 3 bartenders in 2019 by Barproof and winning the Ultimate Bartender Championship in Russia three times.

The timeless yet modern Italian restaurant is opening its doors soon and is set to become Dubai’s exceptional new Italian fine dining venue, offering up a universe of memorable moments for all guests.
