The History Of Cinema Museum is both entertaining and educative for both adults and children who love and appreciate cinema. The purpose of the museum is to present the prehistory of cinema through more than 300 unique objects and artifacts. Complimented by digital clips and interactive models, the museum’s one-of-a-kind collection was passionately gathered for 35 years by Mr. Akram Miknas, a Bahraini/Lebanese businessman.
Many items from the Museum’s collection are unique in the whole Middle East and the MENA Region. All of them are authentic, dating back from the 1730s up to the twentieth century. The collection covers the whole evolution of visual entertainment, from the earliest days of shadow theaters until the invention of 3D and the birth of modern-day cinema.
The History Of Cinema Museum was inaugurated by Sheikh Majid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority. Located in Barsha Heights, the History Of Cinema Museum offers visitors a unique interactive experience where both children and adults are invited for a magical journey into the past.
