The design of the Etihad Museum was inspired by the shape of the UAE constitution. It is also adorned with seven columns, reflecting the pens which were used to sign the agreement. The museum spreads over 25,000 square meters. It offers a series of interactive state-of-the-art pavilions where visitors can discover UAE history and get a little bit more familiar with its culture and heritage.
The Etihad Museum collects, preserves, and displays the heritage of UAE in different aspects of life, like social, political, cultural, scientific, and military history. For example, among the exhibits of the Etihad Museum, there are old passports or personal artifacts of the rulers of the UAE. Furthermore, it is located on the same historical site of the Union House, where the UAE constitution was signed. The Etihad Museum building has eight permanent pavilions, a library, an education center, a temporary exhibition hall, and a restaurant.
