Mohalla/ Mahalla/ Mehalle (Hindi/ Urdu/ Arabic/ Persian/ Turkish/ Uzbek) in several languages and cultures means “my neighborhood/ my community”. Mohalla is an ode to the flavorful cooking of the “community neighborhoods’ of India. Visitors will be able to get an impression of authentic home-cooked Indian cuisine while at the same time enjoying the contemporary interiors and an enchanting atmosphere of a modern restaurant.
The restaurant features such details as a custom hand sketch of an Indian street, hidden passages within the shutters to depict old and new India, custom-designed carpets from Gujarat, and peacock chairs, which illustrate the national bird of India. The design, provided by the designer Samar Zakhem, features stunning, warm interiors that project the essence of the raw and urban industrial environment.
