Every Tuesday, Fitness First Middle East is conducting online meditation classes to help you reduce stress and access your inner wisdom.

Fitness First, the chain of popular UAE gyms, will provide weekly online meditation sessions to keep mind and body strong during the global fight against the coronavirus (COVID-19). New sessions will be uploaded every Tuesday evening, so everybody can access them whenever there is a bit of free time.

The meditation classes take from 15 to 30 minutes and are focused on breathing techniques to help keep the mind calm and to encourage positive thoughts. As such classes are combined with exercises, they have a favorable impact both on physical and mental health. Mindfulness is said to improve the way we control emotions and moderate stress levels.

One can practice meditation from anywhere but it’s always good to find a quiet little spot to do it in, so as to avoid any surrounding distractions. It would even better if you place a cushion somewhere and turning a lamp nearby to invoke a sense of calm. It is said that the practice “enhances thought processes which can help boost moods and support wellbeing”.
