The Dubai Duty-Free Tennis Championships is one of the most eagerly anticipated events on the UAE sporting calendar and one of the most popular tournament stops for the ATP World Tour and the WTA Tour. Owned and organized by Dubai Duty-Free and held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
The tournament will be held later than usual following the Australian Open’s three-week postponement because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The thrilling WTA event will then be followed by the ATP 500 tournament, taking place from 7th to 20th March and hosting a galaxy of the game’s stars. And as an added bonus the ATP draw has been increased this year to 48 players, giving fans even greater opportunities to see their favorites in action.
Despite the pandemic, fans from all over the world show excitement are now welcome to Dubai to see some of their favorite sports celebrities in action. The tournament has a long history of welcoming some of the top players in the men and women categories of the game.

The two-week-long event consists of a comprehensive multi-faceted promotional campaign prior to the event and an extensive off-court entertainment program during the event.
This year’s tournament will be hosted in line with Covid-19 guidelines and will be spectator-free. Although tennis fans will not be able to be present at the tournament, the Dubai Sports Channel will carry each and every match played on Centre Court live from the first ball to last.
