Produced by the same team behind the successful “The Tiger Who Came To Tea,” this brand new play promises to captivate audiences with its heartwarming narrative about confidence, self-esteem, and the journey of a timid mouse discovering his inner courage.
The story unfolds in a dry, dusty place where a mighty flat rock stands, adorned with golden sparkling sand. Beneath this rock resides the smallest, quietest, and meekest brown mouse in a tiny house. Tired of being overlooked and disregarded by other animals, Mouse yearns to possess the powerful roar of a lion. However, Mouse soon learns that even the most imposing individuals experience fear, and even the smallest creatures can possess the bravery of a lion.
Adapted from the beloved book by Rachel Bright & Jim Field, published by Hachette Children’s Group, this stage production is helmed by director Sarah Punshon, known for her work on “The Jungle Book.” Adding to the enchantment of the performance is the music and lyrics crafted by Eamonn O’Dwyer, renowned for his contributions to “Brief Encounter.”
Audiences can anticipate an unforgettable theatrical experience filled with enchanting storytelling, catchy tunes, and valuable life lessons. “The Lion Inside” promises to resonate with viewers of all ages, reminding them that courage comes in all shapes and sizes.
