Alserkal Avenue is one of Dubai’s busiest streets, and it’ll be even busier next week when Alserkal Art Week returns from March 22 to 27. Last year, the event went virtual due to the Covid-19 outbreak. However, this year they are back in action and better than ever with all sorts of entertainment such as art exhibitions, talks, workshops, and commissions.
Here’s what’s happening during the art week:
The art week is packed with art exhibitions during the week. Few of the participants that will be present at the venue are 1×1 Art Gallery, Ayyam Gallery, Carbon 12, Elmarsa Gallery, Gallery Isabelle van den Eynde, Green Art Gallery, Grey Noise, Gulf Photo Plus, Ishara Art Foundation, Lawrie Shabibi, Leila Heller Gallery and Zawyeh Gallery.
Across Alserkal Avenue, there will be exhibits, artist commissions, and pop-up events as part of this coordinated gathering. It’s open to the public, and there’s a lot of new modern art to see.
Make a reservation to hear speakers and artists present their research on their works.
Mentors and Artists will have an interesting discussion about the development of the ‘2021 Yard Committee’ – the shared community space at Alserkal Avenue.
Attend workshops during the Art week to enhance your creativity and learn how to create masterpieces that focus on your imagination and thinking outside the box.
If you want a good old romantic classic, Casablanca will be shown on March 26 at 8 pm and again on March 27 at 8.30 pm at Cinema Akil. The event will be held at The Yard.
You can grab a bite at one of the scrumptious cafes and restaurants available at the venue!
