The Dubai Concert Committee was established in 1996 under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum to enjoy more classical music concerts. It was opened as a volunteer organization, driven by the love of music and commitment to high-quality concerts in Dubai.
More than 20 years of DCC provides an ongoing contribution to the cultural life in Dubai. There have been staged over 200 concerts for approximately 95.000 lovers of classical music in Dubai. In April 2011, the committee received an award as “Supporters of the Arts” at the Sheik Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Patrons of the Arts Award ceremony.
