This spectacular architecture will be constructed in Ras Al Khaimah. This suspension bridge will connect the two buildings of the new Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island which will overlook the incredible view of the island on one side and the emirate on the other.
Al Marjan Island is located in Ras Al Khaimah against the picturesque backdrop of the Arabian Peninsula and enclosed by the Yanis and Jais Mountains. This emirate is known for its investment in a new brand of luxury, lifestyle, and hospitality in a unique and natural setting.
The bridge is supported by four main trusses, each weighing 55 tonnes. Each truss is 4 meters high and installed at a height of 44.2 meters. It took 65 days, a 650-tonne crawler crane, and more than 55 people to complete its design and installation.
The suspended bridge is one of the stand-out features of the Mövenpick Resort Al Marjan Island, which is being developed at a cost of Dh543 million and is said to be open to the public by September 2021.
The installation process was completed following all safety procedures, including traffic management, to ensure the safety of the public and staff. All COVID-19 precautionary measures were followed during the entire process.
