The United Arab Emirates might become the first country in the world to utilize state-of-the-art technology.
Hyperloop One is officially planning to build a Hyperloop Dubai by the 2020 World Expo, adding that it will be the “first” working Hyperloop system in the world. The company is partnering with RTA over the next three months, and by the end of that period, they say they’ll be able to show the government that their network will reduce congestion in Dubai by 20 percent and will reduce emissions by a strong 30 percent.
A Hyperloop is a high-speed, intercity transportation system which uses passenger and cargo capsules inside a reduced-pressure tube system that would reach a top speed of 1,300 km/h with a yearly capacity of 15 million passengers.
