The performance will be a part of Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, a seven-day series of sports and entertainment events held across the capital which will precede UFC 242, taking place on September 7. Red Hot Chili Peppers is headlining Abu Dhabi Showdown Week, another big act of the Week will be announced later. The show will take place in the newly built venue The Arena, Yas Island.
The show in Abu Dhabi will be part of the group’s world tour, which is dedicated to the release of their latest album, The Getaway. This is the eleventh studio album of the group, which was released in 2016. The band, included in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, will perform their most famous and energetic hits, such as Can’t stop, Dani California, Snow (Hey Oh), By the way, Californication, Give It Away and many others. The concert will be the debut of the band in the UAE and one of the most anticipated musical events of the year in the region.
