The event is organized by UFC, the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, and the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi. The new partnership will bring UFC events to Abu Dhabi for the next five years.
UFC 242 will be a week-long series of events. It is expected that the main battle of the championship will be a UFC Lightweight Championship bout between current champion Khabib Nurmagomedov and interim champion Dustin Poirier. For fans of the sport, a lot of entertainment will be provided, including access to open training, weighing, and press conferences. Many interesting thematic activities will be organized as well.
