Ramadanization 2017

Ramadanization 2017 is an exhibition to be held from 24th May to 27th July at the Dubai Community Theatre & Arts Centre – DUCTAC.

Ramadan upholds the Islamic beliefs and traditions across the globe, and how it influences the daily lives of people residing in the region. In this exhibition artists reflect on their own significant memories and experiences of Ramadan, and on the personal versus collective memories of Ramadan.

Ramadanization aims to initiate a conversation about how the observance of Ramadan upholds the Islamic beliefs and traditions across the globe, and how it influences the daily lives of people residing in the region.The featured artists explores the juxtaposition of the deeply personal and spiritual practices along with the strong and vivid socio-cultural connotations associated the term “Ramadan” and “The Holy Month”.
