Not Squares is a trio that can only be described as a punk electronic disco, with more tunes provided by Keef Winter and Dubai-based Captain Tea.
Not Squares, whose latest album ‘Bolts’, features ten tracks that dip into a rich pool of pop, electro, post-punk and disco. They make live dance music using surging beats, sugary keyboards, vocoders and bass guitar.
Over the years, the band performed at Glastonbury, Reading, Leeds and Latitude Festivals, recorded a BBC Maidavale Session for Huw Stephens and toured the UK, Japan and Ireland.
Captain Tea, a music producer and DJ, plays a hybrid DJ/live set that utilizes a drum machine, synths and music samples. He has recently performed at the inaugural Bahrain Jazz Festival.
