Macbeth at Dubai Opera

Dubai Opera is delighted to present a contemporary interpretation of Shakespeare’s classic, Macbeth, taking the stage from the 3rd to the 5th of November.

This gripping rendition is brought to you by a collaborative effort from ETT, Shakespeare North Playhouse, Northern Stage, and Théâtres de la Ville de Luxembourg.

Set against the backdrop of a nation in turmoil, torn apart by internal strife, the Macbeths seize the opportunity to claim the crown. But their ambitions don’t unfold as anticipated. What begins as a dream soon descends into a nightmare, unraveling the threads of humanity and awakening the forces of nature. As society grapples with the darkness lurking within, the question arises: how long will it take for people to rise against the relentless cycle of violence and corruption?
