There was a noise in one of the neighborhoods of Venice, launched by a young girl who was too happy to sow stupor around her: Cecchina would not be her father’s daughter. The rumor falls badly: the girl is about to marry a brave neighborhood ragazzo. The new swell, however, running from one cancanière to another. And there is no lack in Venice! Women of the people and chic women get along without problems to feed on new crispy foods and circulate what they do not take the time to check. Moreover, this said is not inaccurate. It is malice, jealousy, envy, the thoughtless voluptuousness of speaking that make the affair unbearable, especially for the two lovers who argue without quite tearing each other apart. Family and friends do what they can to stop the gossip. But everything bounces when a second noise takes over from the first.
