Dubai Summer Surprises and Art for All welcome film lovers for the film screening of acclaimed Sudanese director and cinematographer Suhaib Gasmelbari. The movie called “Talking About Trees” tells further cultural and political discourse. The movie represents in detail the history of Sudanese cinema and showcases the struggles to revive movie theatres within the overarching narrative of the country’s ongoing crises.
Being released in December 2019, the film became a winner of an international award and is a must-watch for discerning movie-goers. A conscience awakening that will make viewers reconsider the cultural and political value of cinema and a sad depiction of what happens when such a display of art expires for good.
