Festival in a Day is organized by the Emirates Literature Foundation in cooperation with The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival, the oldest literary festival in the world and Dubai Culture & Arts Authority.
Award winning novelist Kate Atkinson (3:30 PM – 4:30 PM) will be discussing her new novel, Transcription. Naturalist David Attenborough (5:30 PM – 6:45 PM) will be discussing his completely new edition of the ground-breaking Life on Earth, and assessing how the world has changed since its original publication 40 years ago. Historian Mary Beard (7:45 PM – 8:45 PM) will be dissecting the cultural underpinnings of misogyny, from the classical world to the modern day and discussing how we can change the narrative around women and power.
Doors close 15 minutes before each session. The ticket price includes all three events.
