Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships is one of the most anticipated sports events in the Middle East. The two-week long event will consist of a WTA Premier 5 women’s event, followed by the ATP 500 men’s tournament. This is the 28th year of the ATP tournament and the 20th year of the WTA tournament.
A celebrity line up of players will be fighting out to win the coveted trophy: a young Swiss star Belinda Bencic, a Spanish-Venezuelan tennis player Garbine Muguruza, a Czech triple Brisbane winner Karolina Pliskova, a Romanian tennis player Simona Halep, a tennis legend from Belgia Kim Clijsters, a two-time champion from Ukraine Elina Svitolina, and many others. Also, famous professional tennis players Novak Djokovic and Roger Federer have confirmed their entry in the competition.
Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships is one of the most popular tournament stops for the ATP World Tour and the WTA Tour. This event is held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
