Arab Hope Makers is an annual award ceremony dedicated to honoring people who launch humanitarian initiatives, projects, and programs that improve their communities, the quality of life in their environments and help those in need, making a positive impact. This year, 92,000 humanitarian causes from 38 countries applied to be part of the event.
UAE has great hope and optimism to make a positive mind in societies. And this event celebrates the exceptional role models, who represent the future of the modern challenging world. All the proceeds will go to contribute to the construction of Professor Magdi Yacoub Global Aswan Heart Center in Cairo, which will conduct 10 thousand free heart surgeries annually, 70% of which are for children.
Among the elite artists, there will be presented: musical icon in the Arab world Nawal Al Kuwaitia, Emirati singer Balqees, Palestinian pop singer Mohammed Assaf, and international multi-Grammy award-winning artist RedOne. Such Arab celebrities as Kuwaiti actress Suad Al-Abdullah, Egyptian actor&comedian Ahmed Helmy, Kuwaiti comedian Tareq Al-Ali, Syrian actor Kosai Khauli will also attend the celebration.
The event will be broadcasted by over 140 journalists and media representatives. The candidates will present a selection of Arab media professionals, including Egyptian host Mona Al-Shazly and Egyptian journalist Amr Adib.
The event was announced by His Highness Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
