Marcel Khalife works combine traditional Arabic music with Western elements like the piano. He uses modern Arab poetry (like Mahmoud Darwish) and muwashahat (music of Al-Andalus).
Souad Massi is of Algerian Berber origin. Her music displays Western-style tunes influenced by rock, country, and even Portuguese fado. During this concert, she will present her works “Yadra”, “Salam” and many others from the latest album.
