Training courses provided by the Arts Workshop enables the trainee to possess the following skills:
awareness of and mastering the camera techniques, basics of capturing a successful photo, aesthetics of photography, hiding and processing errors in any photo taken, a photographic trip, where the trainee applies what he has learned throughout the course.

Plate / Ceramic glaze is an impervious layer or coating of a vitreous substance that has been fused to a ceramic body through firing. Glaze can serve to color, decorate, or waterproof an item. Glazing renders earthenware vessels suitable for holding liquids, sealing the inherent porosity of unglazed biscuit earthenware.

Quilling or paper filigree is an art form that involves the use of strips of paper that are rolled, shaped, and glued together to create decorative designs. The paper is rolled, looped, curled, twisted, and otherwise manipulated to create shapes that makeup designs to decorate greetings cards, pictures, boxes, etc. Quilling starts with rolling a strip of paper into a coil and then pinching the coil into shapes that can be glued together.

Sculpture is the art of woodcarving, stone carving, metal casting, welding, clay, or wax formation into three-dimensional representations, such as statues, figures, and shapes by casting clay.

Try your hand at the wheel and explore your creativity with this pottery class. This course will engage you in various exercises of wheel throwing, hand-building, and surface decoration to expand your artistic capabilities.

Sewing is the craft of fastening or attaching objects using stitches made with a needle and thread. Sewing is one of the oldest textile arts. The basic process of sewing involves fastening fabrics, leather, furs, or similar other flexible materials with the help of needles and threads. The complex parts of the machine then pierce thread through the layers of the cloth and interlock the thread.

Silk painting refers to paintings on silk. They are a traditional way of painting in Asia. For best results, you should use silk paints rather than acrylic, oil, watercolor, or any other type of paint. Silk paints are available at craft stores as well as online. You could choose silk dye instead of paint if desired. Prewash your silk.

Arabic calligraphy is the artistic practice of the written word. It is known in Arabic as ‘khatt’, from the word meaning ‘line’. Originally a tool for communication, with time, it began to be used in architecture, decoration, and in other elements of design. In this 4 week course, you’ll learn the techniques of basic lettering by completing a series of writing exercises to develop a greater understanding and appreciation for this striking art form.

Watercolour is a painting method in which the paints are made of pigments suspended in a water-based solution. The term refers to both the medium and the resulting artwork. Enjoy experimenting with a wide range of basic principles, and techniques that form the building blocks of all watercolors in this 4-week program.
