Dubomedy decided for its 12th birthday to present Stand-up The Half Hours: Comedy Specials that were filmed live in Dubai last year to a sold-out crowd. The series will feature Sundeep Fernandes, Mish’al Eskander and Liz Bains and will run every Wednesday from April 8 till 22.

April 8 – Episode 1: Sundeep Fernandes
Sundeep Fernandes will kick off first Wednesday with his awkward and weirdly funny set. Out of 100 comedians, he’s been crowned “funniest comedian” two years in a row by the S+S Comedy Fest.
April 15 – Episode 2: Mish’al Eskander
Mish’al Eskander will be starring to discuss the state of women’s rights. He is an emcee, stand-up comedian, and feminist, being a Saudi national who has been living in Dubai since 2000.
April 22 – Episode 3: Liz Bains
Closing it out, British ex-pat Liz Bains finds people laugh at her even when she is trying to make a serious point. She did her first five minutes of stand-up comedy in 2015 after graduating from Dubomedy’s comedy course and hasn’t stopped since.
The shows will be performed in English.
