Solomun

Mladen Solomun, professionally known as Solomun, is a Bosnian-German DJ, record producer and label owner known for his significant contribution to the electronic music scene.

Born on December 27, 1975 in Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, he moved with his family to Hamburg, Germany at a young age. His early musical influences span genres such as hip hop, soul, funk and R&B, which have deeply shaped his distinctive sound.

In 2006, Solomun co-founded the record label Diynamic, which has become a key platform for innovative electronic music. His 2011 remix of Noir & Haze’s “Around” received critical acclaim, with Resident Advisor naming it “Remix of the Year”. The following year, he was named “DJ of the Year” by Mixmag and won “Producer of the Year” at the Ibiza DJ Awards.

Solomun’s influence extends to Ibiza, where he launched the acclaimed “Solomun +1” residency at Pacha in 2013. The concept sees him perform alongside one guest artist each night, facilitating an intimate and dynamic musical experience. The success of the residency has cemented his status as a key figure in the global electronic music community.
