SB19 is a Filipino boy band widely credited with popularizing P-pop (Pinoy pop) on the global stage. Formed in 2016 under ShowBT Philippines, the group consists of Pablo (leader), Stell, Ken, Josh, and Justin. They trained under a Korean entertainment system but sing primarily in Filipino and English, blending K-pop–style precision with distinctly Filipino themes and storytelling.
Their breakthrough came in 2019 with the viral hit “Go Up”, which propelled them into national fame and opened doors for international recognition. They later became the first Southeast Asian act to be nominated at the Billboard Music Awards (Top Social Artist category) in 2021, alongside global names like BTS.
