Aïta Mon Amour is a Moroccan musical duo consisting of Widad Myama and Khalil EPI.

Their project draws inspiration from Aïta, a traditional Moroccan musical genre deeply rooted in the country’s rural heritage and historically performed by the Chikhates, the female guardians of this centuries-old tradition. Aïta Mon Amour seamlessly blends the authentic spirit of Aïta with modern electronic elements, creating a unique sound that bridges the past and present. This innovative approach positions them as a significant voice in the contemporary interpretation of Moroccan musical heritage.

Their debut album, titled “ABDA”, is scheduled for release on January 29, 2025. The album is expected to transcend traditional and contemporary music, offering a fresh perspective on Morocco’s rich cultural heritage. Aïta Mon Amour have performed at various festivals including the 2024 Essaouira Gnaoua Festival, where they presented their contemporary electronic project that celebrates and preserves Morocco’s unique musical heritage.

For those interested in exploring their music, Aïta Mon Amour’s tracks are available on streaming platforms such as Spotify and Apple Music. Their YouTube channel also features performances and music videos, providing a visual and auditory look at their artistic expression.

With their innovative fusion of traditional Aïta music and electronic music, Aïta Mon Amour continues to captivate audiences while preserving and reimagining Morocco’s musical traditions for modern listeners.
