Suhoor meal is eaten early in the morning before dawn and Fajr prayer. This meal is special because after it begins a whole day of fasting and restrictions. Thus, Suhoor helps the believer to maintain his strength, both moral and physical, and adequately pass all the tests of the day. That is why Suhoor is often called the most important meal of the day. The choice of food for Sukhur should be careful since your well-being all day will depend on its quality. Many venues offer guests a special Suhoor menu. You can enjoy it in the company of friends or relatives from late evening until about 03:00-04:00 AM.
As the morning prayer and Suhoor occur very early, there used to be a custom according to which a special person, Mesaharati, awakens the inhabitants of a city or village. Playing loudly on the drum or reciting poems, Mesaharati served as a modern alarm clock. Today, this custom has been preserved in very few places on the planet.
O Allah, on this day, place me among those who seek forgiveness. Place me among Your righteous and obedient servants, and place me among Your close friends, by Your kindness, O the most Merciful.
