BidAid continues to strengthen its presence in the UAE charity sector, most recently supporting a high-profile fundraising lunch at The Lana, Dubai in aid of Gulf for Good.

Partnering with the UAE-based charity, BidAid delivered both the silent auction and live auction experience, giving guests an engaging and seamless way to support the cause throughout the event. From the moment attendees arrived, bidding was open, creating a lively atmosphere that built towards an unforgettable fundraising moment.

A live artwork that changed lives

The centrepiece of the auction was a remarkable live creation by world-renowned artist Sacha Jafri.

Guests were given the rare opportunity to watch as Sacha produced a one-of-a-kind artwork in real time during the event. The finished piece was then auctioned live, selling for more than $160,000, with all proceeds going directly to Gulf for Good and its projects supporting vulnerable children across the globe.

More than just a stunning work of art, the piece represented hope, opportunity and tangible change – translating creativity in the room into meaningful impact on the ground.

Who Gulf for Good support

Gulf for Good is a UAE-based non-profit organisation dedicated to improving the lives of underprivileged children worldwide. The charity focuses on:

  • Supporting sustainable projects that provide long-term benefits for children
  • Promoting wellbeing through adventure challenges and fitness-based fundraising
  • Funding education, healthcare, housing and essential community infrastructure

Since its founding in 2001, Gulf for Good has organised more than 100 adventure challenges, raised approximately USD $5 million and positively impacted the lives of over 30,000 children. Its work has helped deliver vital projects including schools, children’s homes, clinics and community facilities in some of the world’s most disadvantaged regions.

BidAid was proud to support this mission at The Lana, helping turn generosity in the room into lasting outcomes for children who need it most.

A growing presence in the UAE

The event marks another milestone in BidAid’s expansion across the UAE, as the company continues to bring its technology, expertise and innovative auction solutions to leading charity events across the region.

Combining silent auctions, live fundraising, world-class art and a powerful cause, the lunch at The Lana demonstrated the impact that can be achieved when people, creativity and technology come together in the name of good.

In October, BidAid had the pleasure of being part of the Sailors’ Children’s Society Sportsman’s Lunch at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Hull — an incredible event that brought together supporters, sponsors, and sports legends to raise funds for an amazing cause.

The afternoon was headlined by football icon John Barnes, who captivated the audience with stories from his legendary career at Liverpool and England. His energy and humour made the event truly memorable, and the atmosphere in the room reflected the passion everyone shared for helping children and families in need.

We’re thrilled to share that this year’s event raised over £100,000 — a phenomenal result that will make a real difference to the lives of the children and families supported by the Sailors’ Children’s Society.

BidAid was proud to play a role in the fundraising through our silent charity auction, which helped drive donations higher and engage guests throughout the event.

We’d also like to recognise Corendon Airlines for sponsoring the event, Colin Jackson CBE for his continued support, and Cheryl Hicks for her outstanding work in helping bring such amazing talent together.

At BidAid, we’re honoured to support the Sailors’ Children’s Society each year and to help raise these vital funds through innovative fundraising technology that makes giving easy, exciting, and rewarding.

Together, we’re helping charities like the Sailors’ Children’s Society continue their incredible work — one event, one auction, and one generous bid at a time.
