“Kaumudi” Play at The Junction

The Junction is bringing the “Kaumudi” dance play on October 15-17.

Udaan Dubai and The Junction present a unique Hindi play, which is promising to be a theatrical and musical extravaganza. The dance performance “Kaumudi” is a Romantic Drama, which reflects “Illumination” or figuratively stands for “Enlightenment” from Sanscrit.

Directed by Karan Sharma, the play opens about a rite of passage on a moonlit timeless night, raising eternal questions. The plot of “Kaumudi” draws answers from two sides – the “reality” on stage and the “reality” of it, which is a mirror to the creator in the context of his art piece and society at large.

The cast includes Nilesh Deshpande, Benjamin Samuel, Manas Villas, Apoorva Mehra, Lavina Jaswani, and many others who will be looking to a determination of the value of art. Among the dancers’ cast, there will be Swarashri Shridhar, Seema Kunder, Shilpi Dutta, Tabassum Inamdar, Sonali Aswani, who are going to create a magical atmosphere on the stage.
