In a new year, there will be a new highest point in the UAE as one of the toughest obstacle races in the world. Spartan Race, with Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, is coming to Jebel Jais. Have you got what it takes to take on the UAE’s highest peak?

That it is to say, he big course will be divided into various race categories, including the Sprint, Super, Hurricane Heat and one just for the kids as the Spartan mission is to inspire kids (4 to 14) to get out, be active and enjoy themselves.

Firstly, for the adults there will be the Spartan Sprint – 5km, 20 Obstacle course, Perfect for runners of any levels, it may be the shortest but packs the most obstacles to overcome.

Secondly, the Spartan Super – 13km, 25 Obstacle course As for the Spartan Super, expect a 10km distance with more than 25 Signature Spartan Obstacles, all through tougher and more rugged terrain.

Or take your Spartan journey to the next level and take on the Hurricane Heat endurance event – 4 hours of grueling challenges. Up for a whirlwind of exercise? The Hurricane Heat is a unique event, which sees Spartans running on and off the race course.

Most importantly, participants have a team upon arrival and have to work together to complete any and all challenges set before them.
