The Women’s Sports Committee of Dubai Sports Council has announced a special badminton tournament for ladies – The Women’s Shuttle Time Championship. The badminton tournament will feature Emirati and ex-pat shuttlers competing in two separate categories with 32 participants in each category.
The tournament will be the final competition of the Women’s Shuttle Time Program, which started earlier this August and has helped attract and train a number of Emirati and expatriate ladies in the sport. As was said previously, the Dubai Sports Council has organized numerous tournaments, training courses, and workshops to support and develop women’s sports and fitness.
Badminton became one of the most popular sports in Dubai with a growing number of sports fans of different nationalities after imposed initiatives and workshops for training women. The Women’s Shuttle Time Championship is provided to give participants of the Program an opportunity to show their skills in a competitive atmosphere and encourage many other women to start or continue their sports routine.
Registration for the tournament is open now, and it will close at 32 players in each category.
