This very fashionable, modern space with the muffled lighting, bright neon flashes of light, and interesting elements of an interior, such as temple handbells.
The dining room’s lighting features are a contemporary take on classic oriental lanterns that bunch in clusters and hang low, illuminating the venue in a deep red that pervades the space. Floor-to-ceiling windows allow for gasp-inducing views of Business Bay and Downtown, and the ornaments dotted around the space give it a regal air.
It also sets the bar high for the food. But when such high expectations are set from the outset, it can be hard for anything to live up to it. The food is good, in fact, it’s very good indeed.
